This is a great project for art teachers to do with the whole school at the beginning of the year. Throughout the day, we decorate paper using several techniques with one grade at a time. When students come in, they gather around the tables to learn about each of 3 or 4 different techniques. Then they are divided into groups of 3-5, and rotate between the stations making paper at each station. Techniques include sponge painting, straw painting, liquid watercolors with salt, saran wrap prints.
*We will often leave out harder stations for younger classes.
